Weight of a frame,

It is not necessarily how heavy, however, if a heavy frame is balanced well you can still wear these frames comfortably.

Having said that, Lindberg, one of the lightest frame ranges in the world, is very comfortable to wear,  It helps that all parts of the frame are bespoke,  arm length, bridge size can all be changed to suit your face

How the frame sits in relation to your pupils.  The pupils should be around 3/4trs up in the frame.  

Fitting on the nose,  

Which frames are more comfortable to wear.  

If you have a well fitted acetate frame versus one with nose pads, if they are the same weight and are fitted well the acetate frame will be the most comfortable.  

Having said that frames with nose pads can be very comfortable.    Nose pads can be used to move the frame up and worn on your face especially of your nose is not that big.  Some people's noses are not ‘made for’ wearing the acetate frames.  In these cases we will recommend frames with nose pads. These will need to be adjusted so that they sit parallel and spread the weight of the frame on the nose.  In certain cases smaller or larger noes pads will be need. Nose pads can also come in different materials. More and more we are using silicon nose pads as they hold the frame onto the nose better and they are softer.
